Right now Pacific
Biodiesel is the only supplier in Honolulu and on
Maui. They offer a consistent grade of fuel approved for
all diesel engines. It’s made from recycled veggie
oil obtained from restaurants on the islands. So Pacific
Biodiesel does two wonderful things – they prevent
used oil from being dumped on the land and they provide
a clean burning fuel for diesel cars and trucks.
The City and County of Honolulu has
over 1,000 vehicles using Biodiesel. Many people, including
some mechanics are woefully uninformed about Biodiesel.
The Federal government does not allow car and truck
manufacturers to invalidate warranties because of Biodiesel
use.
Biodiesel burns cleaner, lubricates better and is not carcinogenic
as is petrol diesel. Pacific Biodiesel pumps oil on
Sand Island Access Road, Mapunapuna, and in Kahului on Maui.
