Islands of Energy’s mission is to motivate people to implement renewable energy practices now; to give a platform to experts in the field; and to offer tips and advice to Hawaii residents.

One of the most powerful ways we are fulfilling this mission is with our thirty-second TV public service announcements. Two are already on the air, and we are currently producing the third and planning seven more.

Our challenge is funding; one thirty-second spot costs a total of $20,000 to produce and air. The breakdown of that $20,000 is as follows: $5,000 in production costs, $15,000 in air-buy, to which the local affiliate adds an additional $15,000 in donated time.
